I have a balance remaining and have as far as I can figure 7 weeks after that. I have been on the phone daily hitting redial even Sat. and can NOT get through. With the amount of people who need this money it seems to me that they would have added lines and people to handle all the calls. I have NOT recieved a letter, non, nada but I did recieve a payment on 8-3 for week ending 6-19. This payment was for one week ONLY - I have sent emails as well and no reply. A lot of other states have sent their money in full and started the fileing for current claims. Why is Nevada taking so long. They have received the funds, What are they doing with the money. Why can't we get a letter of some kind to let us know what, why etc. Some of my friends have received letters that say they will be getting a letter-HA HA. Hows that for letting people know what to do. So behind in everything and feel so bad for people with families. I at least have only myself and my cat, of couse she comes first. I have meds to buy on top of everything else. Just don't understand why NV is dragging their *** when people ard hurting, It took so long to get this thing passed you would think that they had used that time to make things move quickly and smoothly. Right. Am amazed that with so many people looking for a job these people still have theirs. They should consider the fact that no one is irreplaceable. It could be them next. I know several people who are lucky they are still employed but those people know at least two friends out of work, some have 5 or 6 friends out of work. (I count 84 weeks including EUC) However, given that 'you probably couldn't buy a job now', not even the 'so called in NV' jobs nobody wants, I feel NV with its 14.2% 'registered' unemployed (who knows how high unemployment really is) should allow us to be the exception to the 99'er rule. The last check of Federal benefits ended June 22 and I’m on the last tier of 6 additional weeks. My calcuations tell me that starting August 3, I’d have to claim the State 20 week unemployment. I was told that is process is harder to claim and a matter or reapplying again because they don’t do it over the phone or online.

Any which way, I still need to call and find out how to proceed. Can’t seem to get through since July 30th!

Anyone know how the State unemployment benefits work?
